debian wheezey + hifiberry DAC

Recommended Posts

Hi, i currently have a Rasberry Pi 2 and a Hifiberry DAC https://www.hifiberry.com/dacplus/running with pre-configured raspbian from here:https://www.hifiberry.com/guides/sd-card-images/ wich auto detect the DAC no messing around.

i want to put clementine music player version 1.2 on it, have tried to follow this: https://github.com/clementine-player/Clementine/wiki/Clementine-on-Raspberry-Pi and all goes well until i try to compile it, just fails after 14%.

the official inbuilt repo has only got clementine version 1.0.1, but i found another repository which is meant to have version 1.2: ppa:me-davidsansome/clementine-dev

so I

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:me-davidsansome/clementine-dev
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install clementine

...and i still get the old er 1.0.1 version of clementine

how do i de-activate the original repo for clementine that is default in raspbian so that it`ll use the newer repo??

thanks.

...sorry for being linux nooooob  :(
